Captivated by the visual aspect of a story at an early age, Maggie Yurachek found herself documenting family trips with her camera as a child. Upon returning from their adventures, she would realize that her photographs were mostly portraits. She would spend hours in her attic rifling through family photos and wedding albums of previous generations.
Maggie’s calling in life was always clear.
In 2005 Maggie graduated from Colorado College with a major in English and minor in Photography. It was that same year that she photographed her first wedding. A second followed shortly thereafter. Quickly becoming her full-time profession, she strives to take photos that are “natural and classic, yet timeless and occasionally whimsical.” Now, with over 10 years in the business, Maggie couldn't imagine doing anything else.
In 2007, Maggie followed her passion to the Hallmark Institute of Photography focusing on portraits and character studies. This taught her that, “it’s not exclusively about the image, but the human interaction and the greater understanding of the person.”
Private parties, religious celebrations, charity events, and portraits have also become a large part of her portfolio.
While working with Maggie, you are guaranteed “a relaxed and personal experience with attention to detail. We often walk away friends.” In her spare time she can often be found at her computer with a cup of tea, at a yoga class, or spending time with the people she loves.
